On June 15, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Sheikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, member of the royal family of Bahrain, son of the elder brother of the King of Bahrain, who attended the celebrations on the occasion of commissioning of the first facilities in the tourist zone “Avaza”.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the most important aspects of interstate cooperation, stressing the mutual desire to make it more dynamic and fruitful, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) said. In this regard, as a sign of friendship and respect for the Turkmen people and their leaders, the high guest handed US $ 1 million over to the President of Turkmenistan for charity.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Sheikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa and ordered, upon the guest”s consent, that the funds should be transferred to the account of the Palace of Orphaned Children named after the UAE President Sheikh Zaeda bin Sultan Al Nahayan.
