DUSHANBE, June 11, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Some thirty Tajik students studying at various British universities gathered near the Russian Embassy in London on June 10, Radio Liberty reported.

Tajik students demonstrated against rising xenophobia in the Russian Federation and tried to draw Russia authorities’ attention to increasing cases of violence on a national basis in Russia.

They were staying near the embassy during the day, waiting for response of the Russian diplomatic mission; however, the Russian diplomatic mission did give response to them.

At the end of the action, Tajik students left letters with wishes and demands both in Russian and English languages at the door of the embassy.
