DUSHANBE, June 4, 2009, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon signed a number of decrees today introducing a number of staff changes.
By president’s decree Sherkhon Salimzoda was relieved of his post of Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption and was appointed State Adviser to the President for Legal Matters and President’s Representative to Parliament, replacing Zarif Alizoda. We will recall that Zarif Alizoda was recently appointed the Ombudsman of Tajikistan.
By other president’s decree, Fattoh Saidov, formerly chief of the Dushanbe police directorate, was appointed to head the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption. In the meantime, by interior minister’s order the chief of the Interior Ministry directorate for combating organized crime Sherali Sabzov was appointed the chief of the Dushanbe police directorate.
The president also signed a decree on appointing Rustam Mengliyev, who had previously served as the First Deputy Justice Minister, Deputy Head of President’s Executive Office.
By other president’s decree, deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Mahmad Rahimov was appointed Director of the National Center for Legislation under the President of Tajikistan.
