DUSHANBE, May 7, 2009, Asia-Plus  — President’s decree of May 6 approved foundation of the branch of M. Lomonosov Moscow State University in Dushanbe.

According to presidential press service, the branch will function in accordance with laws of Tajikistan and Russia and students will be accepted and graduates will be assessed in accordance with Moscow State University’s rules.

Tajikistan’s Ministry of Education jointly with Moscow State University is to solve all organizing and legal aspects of functioning of the branch within a month.  The branch will be funded from Tajikistan’s national budget, the press service said.
