Tajik, Russian presidents intend to intensify anti-terrorism efforts

DUSHANBE, January 26, 2011, Asia-Plus  — On Tuesday January 25, President Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with hi Russian counterpart, President Dmitry Medvedev, according to the Tajik Embassy in Moscow.

Rahmon expressed condolences to Medvedev over the Domodedovo airport blast.  He also expressed to the Russian people friendship and solidarity of Tajikistan in this tragic hour.

Tajik leader expressed readiness of Tajikistan for further expansion of thorough cooperation with the Russian Federation in countering terrorist threat.

Both sides expressed readiness to intensify ant-terrorism efforts both at regional and international levels, the source said.
