DUSHANBE, March 17, 2011, Asia-Plus — A two-day joint meeting of the CIS Council for Humanitarian Cooperation, the Board of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation (IFHC) and the CIS Coordination Council of Heads of Bodies of Sectoral Cooperation has opened in Dushanbe today. Besides, an expert workshop on educational aspects of intercultural dialogues is being held here on the sidelines of the joint meeting.
According to the Ministry of Education (MoE), these events are held under the CIS Year of Historical and Cultural Heritage.
Representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation and Ukraine have gathered in Dushanbe to participate in these events, the source at a MoE said, noting that the plan of the IFHC actions for 2011 is a major topic of the event.
“Participants in the expert seminar are considering issues related to interdenominational dialogue within the CIS education space, mechanisms of integration cooperation within the CIS area, problems and prospects of teaching national and foreign languages in the aspect of the intercultural dialogue, role of the intercultural cooperation in development of the professional music education system in Tajikistan, educational aspect of amateur and folk arts in the intercultural dialogue, etc,” he said.
The events are expected to result in adoption of a resolution, the source added.
