DUSHANBE, April 21, 2011, Asia-Plus  — 24-year-old female entrepreneur from Dushanbe, M.T., has been charged with hiring someone to kill her mother-in-law.

The Interior Ministry says only timely interference of law enforcement authorities has prevented the crime.

According to the source, M.T. was detained on suspicion of attempted contract killing in Dushanbe on April 20.  “The preliminary investigation has established that M.T. attempted to kill her mother-in-law, 46-year-old D.T., who is also entrepreneur, on mercenary grounds,” said he.  “For this, she hired a man from remote rural area and paid him US$3,000.”

Material evidence was confiscated; criminal proceedings have been instituted an investigation is under way.
