DUSHANBE, August 16, 2011, Asia-Plus — /Avaz Yuldoshev/ – Emomali Rahmon left for the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast today.

In GBAO Tajikistan President will look at socio-economic situation in the area and assess ongoing reforms in various spheres of economy.

In the course of his trip President Rahmon will visit Khorog and some regions of the district, he is scheduled to open a series of objects built on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence.

Emomali Rahmon will also talk to the activists of the region, President’s press service reported.

These meetings will be focused on the development of different spheres of economy and social structure and the development of tourism in the area.
