Dushanbe. August 15. “Asia-Plus” – Amirjon Ubaidulloev, son of the chairman of the Upper Chamber of the Parliament and Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsayeed Ubaidulloev, was appointed new Representative of Tajikistan for the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

According to the Tajik National Bank, international organizations asked Tajikistan to appoint new representative for WB and IMF following the completion of mission of the previous representative Zavki Zavkibekov.

According to Tajik BBC, Tajikistan President signed the decree on A.Ubaidulloev’s appointment three weeks ago, but this information was made public today.

According to the Tajik National Bank, A.Ubaidulloev has already started to perform his duties. Simulteneously, he acts as a Counselor of the Executive Director of IMF and WB for Tajikistan.

According to Tajik BCC, previously A.Ubaidulloev acted as Head of the Tajik Ministry of Finance’s Joint Projects Management Department but resigned from this position.

The position of Tajikistan’s Representative for WB and IMF was previously held by Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon’s son-in-law Jamoliddin Nuraliev. Currently Nuraliev is holding the position of the First Deputy Minister of Finance.
