DUSHANBE, December 19, 2011, Asia-Plus – Following the results of the election of deputies of Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan which was recently carried out, the director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Sukhrob Sharipov, protégé of ruling National Democratic Party of Tajikistan won handsomely in single-mandate constituency Shohmansur ¹ 3.

According to “AP” the chairman of the abovementioned election commission Abdullah Kholikov, the elections took place in all 49 election commissions, 38 of which were located in Shohmansur district, and 11 – in Firdausi district.

According to Kholikov, voter appearance was 88 percent. Sharipov had confidence in 78.82% of voters who came to vote. His rivals – Chairman of the Socialist Party, Abduhalim Gafarov received 5.97% of the vote, vice-chancellor of the Tajik Technical University, nonpartisan Abdukahhor Tursunov – 5.68% and the Party of Economic Reform in Tajikistan, a businessman Sukhrob Oymahmadov – 6.11%.

“Against all voted in 1.99% of voters participated in the elections”, – said the head of the Regional Committee.

On the 5th of October after the sudden death of the deputy of Majlisi Namoyandagon of the metropolitan constituency Shohmansur ¹ 3 Safarali Rajabov, the post of deputy of the district became vacant.
