DUSHANBE, January 30, 2012, Asia-Plus  — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered bills requiring amendments to the country’s laws on the criminal penalty execution system and weapons as well as administrative code at a January 30 meeting, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the board also decided to table the issue of ratification of the government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Luxembourg on establishment of air communication to the agenda of the next sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation that will take place on February 1.

We will recall that the agreement on air communication between Tajikistan and Luxembourg was signed in June 2011 during President Rahmon’s visit to Luxembourg.  An agreement as well as Memorandum of Understanding in the area of aviation were signed by Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi and Luxembourg’s Development and Infrastructure Minister Claude Wiseler.
