Tajik boxer Mavzuna Chorieva lost today her semi-final fight in the 60kg weight division in the Women’s World Boxing Championship in Qinhuangdao to acting champion from Ireland Katy Taylor 6:16.

However, Tajik boxer won bronze medal at the Women’s World Boxing Championship, Secretary General of the Tajik Boxing Federation Abbos Negmatulloev told AP. “This achievement of M.Chorieva is a definite success taking into account that Mavzuna also qualified to the 2012 London Olympic Games,” he said.

Tajik sportswoman Mavzuna Chorieva qualified for the 2012 London Olympic Games when she won her fight versus Kyrgyz Antonina Shevchenko on May 15 as she also qualified for quarterfinal of the Women’s World Boxing Championship.
