DUSHANBE, November 15, 2008, Asia-Plus — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is expected to pay visit to Tajikistan in the near future, according to the MFA information department.
During his visit, Lavrov is scheduled to hold talks with President Emomali Rahmon, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi and a number of other high-ranking Tajik state officials to discuss cooperation issues.
Issues related to implementation of interstate agreements that were reached during an official visit of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to Tajikistan last August are supposed to be a major topic of Lavrov’s discussions with Tajik officials, the source said.
