DUSHANBE, September 26, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Tajikistan highly appraises role of Kyrgyz parliament in democratization of Kyrgyz society.

Shukurjon Zuhurov, speaker of Tajikistan lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament, remarked this yesterday here at a meeting with a Kyrgyz parliamentary delegation.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the sides discussed issues related to state and further expansion of parliamentary relations between the two countries.

Tajik speaker, in particular, called on Kyrgyz colleagues to participate more actively in implementation of more than 50 government-to-government and interstate agreements signed between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

For his part, head of the Kyrgyz delegation, Nazarali Aripov, offered to intensify work on legalization of the cross-border trade between the two countries.

Kyrgyz MP noted that there are no any serious problems in relations between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan and added that legalization of the cross-border trade will facilitate the movement of commodities, services as well as people, Sultonov said.
