Antimonopoly commission passes prohibiting Ukraine’s company Nemiroff from advertising its brand in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, July 27, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan’s antimonopoly commission has passed a ruling prohibiting Ukraine’s company “Nemiroff” from advertising its brand in Tajikistan.

Anvar Sharifov, the head of the department for protection of consumers’ rights and control of advertising activity of Tajikistan’s antimonopoly agency, has told Asia-Plus that representatives from that company violated Tajikistan’s legislation on advertising activity.

According to him, the RT Law “On Advertisement” prohibits advertising alcohol drinks, tobacco products, pornographic audio-, video- and print materials, as well as narcotics, psychotropic substances and precursors.

“Nemiroff” has actively advertised its brand on TV and radio as well as used outdoors advertisement,” the Asia-Plus interlocutor said.

The Tajik antimonopoly commission has ordered the limited liability company “Zusk”, representing “Nemiroff” in Tajikistan, and Tajikistan’s TV and radio-broadcasting committee to remove these violations.
