DUSHANBE, February 10, Asia-Plus  — Three residents of Khujand, the capital of Sughd province, have been arrested on suspicion of having been involved in human trafficking.    

According to information from the Prosecutor-General’s Office, the Domullojonov brother and sister, Khurshed and Zebo, in cooperation with Zulfi Qayumova allegedly trafficked young women, resident of Konibodom, to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where they forced her to be engaged in prostitution.

The ongoing investigation has established that the young woman was supposed to earn US$6,000 for them.
