DUSHANBE, March 29, Asia-Plus – The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht, is arriving in Dushanbe today for a two-day official visit.  Mr. Karel De Gucht is travelling to Tajikistan as part of his tour of three of the Central Asian particiapting States of the OSCE.  He already visited Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.  

According to information from the Tajik MFA, during the visit, Mr. De Gucht tomorrow will meet with President Rahmonov, Foreign Minister Talbak Nazarov, chefs of diplomatic mission of the OSCE member nations acreddited in Tajikistan.  

During his stay in Tajikistan the OSCE Chairman-in-Office is also scheduled to hold talks with representatives from the country’s civil society (NGOs, political parties and public assocaitions, independent media).  

These meetings will focus on a level of cooperation between Tajikistan and the OSCE as well as prospects of further expansion of this cooperation.  

Then the OSCE Chairman-in-Office will leave for
