as potential trade and economic partner, German Ambassador to Tajikistan Rainer Muller remarked yesterday in


Dushanbe


at a meeting with Sharif Saidov, head of


Tajikistan


’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), according to information from the CCI.

For his part, the Tajik CCI head stressed that


Tajikistan


was taking serious measures to create maximally favorable conditions for drumming up foreign investments, developing cooperation with private sector and launching joint ventures.   

According to the CCI source, Tajik Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov intends to take part at an economic forum “Tajikistan-Germany”, which will be held in


Berlin


from April 24-27.  The Expo 2006 World Fair will be held in the German city of


Hanover


this month, and although


Tajikistan


will not take part in the fair a Tajik delegation led Oqilov will attend the exhibition in


Hanover


.  

Mr. Muller also noted that


Tajikistan


was politically and economically stable state, according to the source. 


Tajikistan


’s rich resources allow it to expand cooperation with other countries in many fields of industry and agrarian sector, German diplomat was cited as saying at the meeting.
