Dushanbe


on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking.

According to information from the Interior Ministry department for combating drug trafficking (drug police), officers from the Shohmansur police directorate detained a 32-year-old Afghan citizen Umed valadi Nodir on Saturday, April 8.  Some two kilograms of heroin and pistol “Makarov” were confiscated from him.  Investigation is under way.   

Tajik police have seized some 842 kilograms of drugs, including 460 kilograms of heroin since the beginning of the year, according to the drug police source.
