, May 8, Asia-Plus — Officers from the Interior Ministry’s department for combating drug trafficking (drug police) intercepted more than seven kilograms of drugs in the Vose district of Khatlon at the end of the last week.  

According to information from Tajik drug police, two drug users were detained with three grams of cannabis in the Vose district and they said that they had purchased the drugs from a 38-year-old Sadullo Sheraliyev, who works as dentist in the district.  When searching Sherliyev’s house police found more than seven kilograms of cannabis. Investigation is under way.  

Officers from Tajik drug police intercepted more than 13 kilograms of drugs, with some kilograms of them being heroin, last week, according to the source.
