DUSHANBE, May 30, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe mayor’s office has selected a project for the construction of facilities in the place of the pulled down market “Rohi Abreshim” market in microrayon 82 in Dushanbe.

According to information from the Dushanbe Hukumat, three companies have taken part in a tender that was announced in April.  The source has refrained giving name of the company that won the tender and a total cost of the project.

“At present preparations are going on for starting the construction work, which is supposed to start in the summer,” the source said, noting that two four-storied residential buildings will be constructed in the place of the market.

As it had been reported earlier, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev signed a resolution on pulling down the “Rohi Abreshim” market on April 6 this year.  The document noted that shops located on the market’s territory did not meet requirements of the general plan for Dushanbe and had been constructed without permission.

Following the mayor’s resolution all shops were pulled down during two months and their holders were given places on other markets of Dushanbe.
