, Pavel Borodyuk, yesterday said in his interview with Deutche Welle that he does not rule out other countries may join the future state formation. 

 

 

In July, Putin and Lukashenko will meet in


Moscow


to discuss “adoption of transitional Constitution of its kind, the Constitutional document of the


Union


State


, holding of referendum on the union construction, election of deputies,” according to Mr. Borodyuk.   He noted that the referendum would be held at the end of this year or in the beginning of 2007.

“The work on the Constitution is under way,” said Borodyuk, “A state commission headed by Gryzlov and Konoplyev is working.  The supreme state council will consider this document in August, and parliament will be elected in the beginning of the next year.”

Asked about the possibility of election of a sole head of the union state, Borodyuk noted that it was “very real variant.”  He stressed that Vladimir Putin could become the President of the
