, June 20, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmonov has urged to improve quality of the construction of the Anzob tunnel linking northern and central regions of the country and Sangtuda-2 power station on the

.  These projects are being implemented under financial support of Iran.   

Rahmonov presided over a meeting of the country’s government on June 19.  The meeting focused on a progress of the implementation of the government resolutions on taking necessary measures to ensure the adequate implementation of investment projects in the field of energy, industry, agriculture, etc.    

During the meeting the president also ordered to speed up the workout of the project for the construction of a tunnel on the Chormaghzak tunnel linking Dushanbe and Norak as well as launch of three investment projects that were signed in Shanghai on June 14.  

The meeting also discussed the issues of preparation of celebrations to mark a Day of Unity, 15

anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, Forum of Tajiks of the World and the 2700

th

anniversary of the establishment of the city of Kulob.
