’s Supreme Court has completed consideration of criminal proceedings instituted against former deputy head of the Bobojonghafurov Police Directorate and form commander of the “SOBR” Special Operations of the Sughd Police Department Jamshed Samadov.  The court is supposed to pass a sentence on him today.   

According to information from the Supreme Court, Jamshed Samadov faces charges under six articles of Tajikistan’s Criminal Code: involvement in drug trafficking; illegal keeping of bodyguards; illegal entrepreneurship, monogamy, beating and illegal detention of people.  

The source says Jamshed Samadov was arrested after one of his bodyguards convicted of drug trafficking had testified against him.
