’s Supreme Court started trial of 20-year-old Nasim Qosimov and his 15-year-old nephew Sherzod Qosimov, who are charged with having kidnapped and killed a 16-year-old Farrukh Ghoibov in March this year. 

According to information from the Supreme Court, Nasim Qosimov faces charges of kidnapping, murder, illegal operations with foreign currency, involvement of minors in criminal activity and document forgery.  The minor Sherzod Qosimov is charged with kidnapping and murder.  

We will recall that unknown person telephoned Rajabali Ghoibov, resident of the Hissor district on March 17 this year and demanded US$50,000 as ransom for release of his son Farrukh.  Later, a sum of the ransom was brought down to US$20,000.  Although Rajabali Ghoibov paid the money his son was found dead.  According to version of investigators, Farrukh Ghoibov was killed already on March 17, when kidnappers telephone his father for the first time.

Nasim Qosimov living next door to the Ghoibov family was arrested on suspicion of having been involved in this crime.  

The trial is ongoing.
