DUSHANBE, July 25, Asia-Plus — Reconstructed Central Stadium and “Sport” Hotel are supposed to be officially put into operation on August 20, Sulaymon Abdulvohidov, Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Training, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe yesterday.    

According to him, the government has provided more than 1.20 million Somonis for rehabilitation of these facilities.  

“When various sports competitions were held in Dushanbe, we had to annually spend 200,000 Somonis for accommodation of sportsmen,” said Abdulvohidov, “Now, we may save up to 100,000 Somonis, and these funds will go to developing sports in the republic and constructing new sports facilities.”
