According to information from the DCA press service, a special operation by the DCA led to seizure of more than 327 kilograms of drugs in the Farkhor district of Khatlon on August 1. 

The DCA source says the drugs were found in the house of a local resident.  The totaled included more than 40 kilograms of heroin and more than 286 kilograms of raw opium.  

Two persons were detained on suspicion of having been involved in smuggling these drugs, and an investigation is under way.  The DCA officers are carrying out operation on seeking other members of this criminal group.  

According to the source, approximately one ton of drugs, with 90 percent of them being heroin and raw opium, has been intercepted by officers from the DCA since the beginning of the year.
