According to information from Tajik traffic police, the accident took place yesterday morning in the Ayni district, on the 91

st

kilometer of the road from Panjakent to Ayni.  The source says the driver Farhod Rahmonov appeared to have lost control of the car “VAZ-2106” and it fell into precipice.  Two passengers – Chupon Murodov and Abdufattoh Qodirov – died on the spot, another passenger – a 36-year-old Muslima Jalolova – received serious injures and was taken to the central district hospital in Ayni.  The fourth passenger – Zuhur Jalolov – is reported missing.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.       

Seven persons were injured in car collision that took place in the Vahdat district yesterday afternoon.  The accident took place on the road Vahdat-Fayzobod.  Minivan “Gazel” collided with a car “GAZ-3102”.  Seven passengers of the minivan received various injures and were taken to the hospital in Vahdat.  

All in all, 823 traffic accidents have been reported in


Tajikistan


since the beginning of the year.  239 people have been killed and 990 others have been injured in those accidents.
