DUSHANBE, August 24, Asia-Plus – Three Tajiks, including a three-year-old baby, have been killed in the August 21 market blast in Moscow, according to information from the Tajik MFA.  

The source in the CIS department of the MFA says they have been identified as a 29-year-old resident of the Yovon district Sirojiddin Rahmonov, a 24-year-old resident of the Vahdat district Muhiddin Shoyev, and a three-year-old Afzalsho Shoyev from Dushanbe. 

Another six Tajik nationals received wounds and were hospitalized to Moscow City Hospital # 36.  At present they are in satisfactory condition, according to the source.  

Tajik Embassy in Moscow is currently working on transporting of dead bodies to Tajikistan.  

In the meantime, the Radio Liberty’s Tajik Service quoted the Russian news agency Interfax as reporting that investigators in Moscow say they have identified nine out of the 10 people killed in a bombing at the Cherkizov market on August 21.

A spokeswoman for Moscow city prosecutors, Svetlana Petrenko, said four were Tajiks, two Uzbeks, two were from Russia, and one was from Belarus.  The bombing also wounded some 50 people, of whom 33 remain in hospital.  Prosecutors have charged two suspects with racially motivated murder.

Russian media report that all three persons arrested on suspicion of having been involved in this blast are students at Moscow higher educational institutions – Moscow Chemical-Technological University named after Mendeleyev, Moscow Branch of State University of Service and Moscow Institute of Transport.   Investigators suggest that they made a bomb using information from Internet.
