President Rahmonov inaugurates two new schools and isolation hospital in Tajik capital today

DUSHANBE, August 31, Asia-Plus — At this moment President Emomali Rahmonov is participating in an inauguration of a new school in the Zarafshon area of Dushanbe. 

This school to accommodate 1,900 pupils is located in Zarafshon-2.  Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, has told Asia-Plus that the cost of this project is more than 9.70 million Somonis.  The construction of the school started in March this year it was finished on August 28.  The school consists of six three-storey buildings that house totaling 50 classes.  According to Shavkat Saidov, the new school has Tajik-, Russian- and Uzbek-language classes.  The school was constructed at the expense of funds provided from the Dushanbe budget.

Another new school to accommodate 1,568 pupils is located in Zarafshon-1 area.  This school was provided at the expense of presidential reserve fund.         

Today, President Rahmonov is also inaugurating a new isolation hospital.  The hospital consisting of four blocks with a total of 253 beds is also located in the Zarafshon area.
