DUSHANBE, October 4, Asia-Plus – Interstate exhibition dedicated to the 15

th

anniversary of the foundation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Moscow on October 25-28.   

According to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), this event is held on an initiative of the CIS Interstate Council for Exhibitions and Fairs following a resolution of the CIS Economic Council.  

The exhibition organizers include the CIS Executive Committee, governments of the CIS member states, Russian Exhibition Center and the council of the CIS heads of chamber of commerce and industry.  

The source says the CIS countries will put on display their latest achievements in the fields of economics, science, healthcare, education and culture at the exhibition.  Interstate projects for development of oil-and-gas fields and energy will also be among the exhibits.  

A parallel economic forum entitled “15 Years of CIS: Results, Problems and Prospects” will be held along with Days of CIS member nations in Moscow.  During the forum heads of delegations are supposed to hold bilateral and multilateral meetings to discuss cooperation issues.
