DUSHANBE, October 18, Asia-Plus – A tender has been held in Dushanbe for regulating work of the fixed-route taxies (minivans) in the city, Abdullo Abdulov, the head of the industry and transportation department of the Dushanbe mayor’s office told journalists in Dushanbe yesterday.  

“Henceforth, certain bodies will monitor the schedule of work of the fixed route taxies in Dushanbe and their technical state,” the Dushanbe official said.          

Commenting on the transportation traffic in the city, Abdulov clamed that trolleybuses run until 9:00 p.m., fixed-route taxies until 11:00 p.m. and buses until 9:00 p.m. 

Asked about the preparation of a draft of a ticketing system, Deputy Transport Minister, Shodimat Mirzoalimov, stressed that it is very important event and the ministry specialists are working on this issue.  

A ticketing system is supposed to be introduced in Dushanbe in 2007.
