DUSHANBE, October 31, Asia-Plus – All five officially registered candidates for president are making preparations for 30-minite televised presentation of their election programs, objectives and goals that will start tomorrow, November 1.  

A source at Tajikistan’s Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER) said that Channel One of Tajik National TV will broadcast these TV talks.  

The candidates will give TV talks in alphabetic order.  Olimjon Boboyev, candidate for president from the Party of Economic Reforms, will be the first to hold the televised presentation of his election program.  Abduhalim Ghafforov, nominated by the Socialist Party, will give a TV talk Thursday, the Agrarian Party candidate for president Amirqul Qaraqulov will present its election program Friday, Emomali Rahmonov, nominated by the People’s Democratic Party, will present his election program Saturday and the Communists’ candidate Ismoil Talbakov will give the TV talk Sunday.
