DUSAHNBE, November 13, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan has produced 88,723 tons of coal over the first ten months of this year, which is 93.3 percent of the target, Anvar Shabbozov, the head of the coal department of the Ministry of Energy, said.    

According to him, it is 4.8 percent or 4,080 tons more compared to the same period of last year.  “In October, the country’s coal-miners extracted 17,517 tons of coal,” Shabbozov said, noting that enterprise Sayod tops Tajikistan’s coal-extracting companies in terms of the amount of coal produced so far this year.  

“Over the past ten months, Sayod has produced 17,652 tons of coal, coalfields of the Koni Angishti Ziddi enterprise have extracted 17,277 tons of coal, the Angisht enterprise 15,658 tons and the coalfield Fon Yaghnob 14,766 tons,” the coal official said.

According to Shabbozov, 35 shops for realizing coal have been set up across the country.  Of them, 17 shops have been set up in the districts subordinate to the center (RRP), 11 in Sughd and 7 in Khatlon.  10,607 tons of coal have been realized through these shops: 9,792 tons through shops set up in the districts subordinate to the center; 460 tons though shops set up in Sughd and 355 tons though shops in Khatlon.     

Over the past ten months, coal-mining enterprises have garnered 81.319 tons, Shabbozov said.  “43,380 tons have been purchased by the population, which 10,953 tons more than last year, and organizations funded from the budget have purchased 13,540 tons, which is 3,680 tons fewer than last year,” the coal department head said.
