DUSHANBE, November 14, Asia-Plus — To provide regular traffic via mountainous passes in the winter period the Ministry of Transport has stocked up reagents for icy conditions of roads.  

Robiyamoh Zavqiyeva, the chairperson of the highways department of the Ministry of Transport, said that the ministry has stocked up more than 34,000 cubic meters of sand and some 2,000 tons of salt.   

According to her, they will be quite enough to provide safe traffic via 20 passes that will be not closed in the winter period.  Besides, the ministry has prepared some 500 bulldozers, excavators, tractors, graders  and vehicles to clear them of snow.
