DUSHANBE, February 23, Asia-Plus – A festive meeting to mark the 14th anniversary of the establishment of Tajik National Army Day opened at the Kokhi Borbad State Complex in Dushanbe today morning. 

President Emomali Rahmonov congratulated all servicemen and veterans of Tajikistan on Tajik National Army Day, which is celebrated in Tajikistan on February 23.       

After the meeting a concert with participation of known Tajik artistes will be held.  

Tajik National Army Day has been marked on February 23 since 1993.  

Tajik army consists of three kinds of armed forces: Air and Air-Defense Force, Ground Force and Mobile Force.  

The Mobile Force of Tajik Army was founded two years ago without increase in a total strength of the country’s army.  Besides, Air and Air-Defense Forces were united also in 2005.
