DUSAHNBE, March 2, Asia-Plus – the Dushanbe open joint-stock company (OJSC) Tekstil (Textiles) has begun on modernization of its equipment.   

Rahmatullo Ghulomov, engineer-in-chief with the company, said in an interview with Asia-Plus that modernization will enable them to increase the enterprise’s capacities for annual processing of cotton fiber from 6,000 tons to 10,000 tons.   

According to him, they have already concluded contracts with Belgian and Swiss companies on delivery of up-to-date looms and other equipment. 

Ghulomov noted that some 50 percent of product manufactured by the enterprise is exported to other countries. 

The Tekstil official noted that they had worked out a number of investment projects for further development of the enterprise.  “” Several of them have already been submitted for consideration to China’s company, but they have not shown interest in funding these projects,” Ghulomov said.
