DUSHANBE, March 9, Asia-Plus – Russia’s limited liability company ZhilKapInvest is seeking general contractor for completing the construction of the residential complex Poytakht-80 in Dushanbe.

Qosimjon Abdulloyev, the head of the ZhilKapInvest representative office in Dushanbe, said that their company has announced a tender for the next stage of the construction.

According to him, the general contractor for the first stage of the construction was the Tajik construction company Poytakht.  “The company has erected two 9-story blocs of the complex – the 6th and the 7th blocs,” Abdulloyev said, noting that the Tajik company will not participate in a tender for the second stage, which includes the construction of 11-story blocs 4 and 5.  “This stage is more labor-intensive and require more labor resources and therefore, Poytakht has refused to participate in the tender for this stage,” the ZhilKapInvest representative office head said.

According to him, ZhilKapInvest, which is investing in the project, has already announced the tender for the second stage of the construction and its results will be known on March 15.

In the meantime, according to the Poytakht-80 sales office, the price of one square meter in this elite residential complex has risen from $950 to $1,050.

The construction of the Poytakht-80 complex officially commenced in October 2004 and blocs 6 and 7 were finished in August 2006.  The complex is being built as part of the Moscow government’s interregional construction program.  A share of the Dushanbe mayor’s office in the project amounts to $1 million.
