DUSHANBE, March 14, Asia-Plus — Twelve media representatives from Tajikistan are currently in Moscow to discuss with a number of Russian agencies cooperation issues. 

“They have been in Moscow since March 12 by invitation of Russia’s news agency RIA Novosti,” Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary of the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, said.  

According to him, the visit’s schedule envisages meetings with heads of some committees of the State Duma (Russia’s lower chamber of parliament), Russia’s MFA, Federal Migration Service, Federal Drug Control Service, as well as a number of known Russian political scientists and experts on economic matters.  

The meetings will focus on prospects of bilateral relations as well as priorities of multilateral cooperation in the post-Soviet area, according to Egamzod.      

“Thus, on Monday March 12, Tajik journalists met with Nikolai Bardyuzha, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), and Grigory Rapota, Secretary General of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC),” said Egamzod, “The meetings considered issues realted to participation and role of Tajikistan in these organizations.”   

RIA Novosti has organized this program under support of the Tajik Embassy in Dushanbe and the Union of Journalists of Tajikistan.
