DUSHANBE, April 18, Asia-Plus — Over the first three months of 2007, incomes of the population in Tajikistan have amounted to 906.9 million somonis, which is 132 percent of the January-March 2006 level in actual prices, according to figures provided by the State Committee for Statistics.   

Expenses and savings over the same period have amounted to 1.0569 billion somonis.  61.3 percent of this amount have been spent on purchasing goods and paying services and 22.8 percent have been spent on making obligatory payments and voluntary fees.  

In February, a nominal monthly wage in Tajikistan averaged 143.59 somonis (equivalent to $43.21), which is 1.5 times more than in February 2006.  Compared to February 2006, a real monthly wage in February 2007 increased by 29.7 percent.  

In February, the highest average monthly wage was in the financial and crediting sector – 458.16 somonis (equivalent to $133.23), and the lowest average monthly wage was reported in the agrarian sector – 37.15 somonis (equivalent to $10.80). 

Total wage debts in Tajikistan have amounted to 24.7026 million somonis by the end of February 2007.
