KHUJAND, KULOB, May 3, Asia-Plus – On Wednesday May 2, a Week of Memory dedicated to the 62nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 started in all regions around the country.  

Meetings of youth with veterans of war, performances dedicated to this subject and other activities will be organized during the Week of Memory that runs through May 8

In the Sughd province, events to mark the 80th anniversary of stateswoman Tojinisso Osimova and the 100th anniversary of the first Tajik woman minister Ughuloy Shamsiddinova will be held in parallel with the Week of Memory.

By resolution of Kulob mayor 254 veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 living in the city and the district of Kulob will receive 50 somonis in extraordinary grant each.  

Besides, during this week old graves of war veterans in the republic will be renovated.
