Exhibition of Russian regions to open in Tajik capital today

DUSHANBE, May 23, Asia-Plus – A two-day exhibition formally titled “Urals and Siberia in Tajikistan opened at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe today.     

The exhibition is staged by Russia’s Magnitogorsk and South-Urals Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Expo-Novosibirsk – International Exhibition Projects and Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI).  

According to Tajik CCI, Russian regions of Novosibirsk, Magnitogorsk and Chelyabinsk are participating in the exhibition.  

Companies from these regions have put on display their achievements in various industries at the fair in Tajikistan. 

In the meantime, Tajik CCI head Sharif Saidov yesterday met with Igor Aristov, the vice president of the South-Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industries.  In the course of the talks Saidov and Aristov discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation.  Both sides vowed to boost bilateral cooperation.  

During the meeting, sectors like energy, housing, hotel and road building, processing of industrial and agricultural goods were outlined as areas of Tajikistan’s economy priorities needed investments.
