DUSHANBE, June 12, Asia-Plus – Khosiyat Kast, the executive director of the Association of Independent Electronic Media of Tajikistan (TajANSMIT), Abdufattoh Vohidov, coordinator of monitoring on violation of media and journalists’ rights of the National Association of Independent Media of Tajikistan (Nansmit) as well as several media rights activists are participating in the second two-day interactive seminar on media rights that ends in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Wednesday.

According to Tajikistan’s National Commission for UNSECO Affairs, 19 journalists and media rights activists from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have taken part in the seminar, staged by International Foundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech  Adil Saz as part of the International Communications Development Program under financial support of the OSCE.  

Expert from the Center for Journalism in Extreme Situation Boris Panteleyev (Moscow), lawyer with the Adil Saz Foundation Hanna Krasilnikova (Almaty) and expert from the Public Foundation for Independent Examination of Informational Disputes have conducted the seminar.

The first interactive seminar on media rights was held in Almaty in April this year.
