DUSHANBE, July 4, Asia-Plus — China’s Huawei Technologies Co., HUAWI, has provided telecommunications network solution for Tajik cellular operator Babilon-Mobile to modernize its radio system.  The radio system has been modernized with use of HUAWEI’s IP solution. 

Babilon-Mobile has successfully launched its GSM/UMTS/HSPA network , which was constructed with Huawei products in Tajikistan.  

According to the Babilon-Mobile headquarters in Dushanbe, the network has allowed them to raise efficiency of services provided in the 3G standard.  The system maintains the single platform of 2G and 3G, and use of this platform simplifies a process of replacement of the obsolete equipment and launch of new networks.  

Closed joint-stock company Babilon-Mobile was established on January 1, 2003.  It is licensed to provide cellular communication services in Tajikistan in the GSM-900/1800 and 3G-UMTS standards.  It now has more than 550,000 clients.
