DUSHANBE, August 16, Asia-Plus – AKIPress – On Wednesday August 15, Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev met with his Tajik counterpart, President Emomali Rahmon, Kyrgyzstan’s news agency Kabar reported referring to Kyrgyzstan’s presidential press service.  

In the course of the talks Bakiyev said that he will be glad to meet with President Rahmon again during his upcoming state visit to Kyrgyzstan that is scheduled for the next month.  

For his part, President Rahmon expressed hope for fruitful work aimed at expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the fraternal peoples both within the framework of the SCO summit and his state visit to Kyrgyzstan.

In the course of the talks the two discussed a broad range of issues related to priorities and main directions of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan’s presidential press service said.
