DUSHANBE, September 25, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan has yielded 229,589 tons of raw cotton by September 25, which is 41.7 percent of the national target, which has been determined at 550,000 tons of cotton, Asia-Plus has learned at the grain and industrial crops department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection (MoAEP).  

The southern Khatlon province has  pledged to produce 330,500 tons of raw cotton this year.  They have gathered 148,332 tons of cotton by this day, which is 44.9 percent of the target.

Districts subordinate to the center (RRPs) have yielded 17,704 tons of raw cotton, which is 40.9 percent of the target.  Their target is 48,200 tons of cotton. 

Cotton growers of the northern Sughd province have yielded 61,563 tons of cotton by September 25, which comprises 35.9 percent of its target determined at 171,300 tons of cotton.
