DUSHANBE, October 25, Asia-Plus — By invitation of Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi, ambassadors of a number of countries of the European Union to Tajikistan have gathered in Dushanbe for a meeting to discuss cooperation between the EU countries and Tajikistan, Asia-Plus has learned at Tajik MFA.  

            The program schedule includes sightseeing trip to the Norak hydroelectric power station, where diplomats will familiarize themselves with hydropower potentials of Tajikistan.  

In the afternoon, European diplomats will hold talk with Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi to discuss states and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the EU countries. 

Energy and a number of other investment projects are expected to be presented at this meeting, according to the source.

According to the European Commission Delegation Office in Tajikistan, Ambassadors of Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Spain, the Chez Republic, Sweden, Slovenia, Romania and Poland will join their counterparts from the United Kingdom, Germany and France, which reside in Dushanbe, at hat meeting.

Ambassadors of the United States and Japan to Tajikistan as well as Head of the OSCE Center in Dushanbe are expected to attend the meeting as well.
