DUSHANBE, November 23, Asia-Plus — Visit of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko to Tajikistan has been postponed again
The source at Tajik MFA said that the Ukrainian side today informed that Ukrainian president’s visit to Tajikistan scheduled for November 26-28 is postponed to an uncertain time. The reason for postponement is not yet known, according to the source.
We will recall that fir the first time, President Yushchenko was supposed to arrive in Tajikistan on an official visit on November 5-7 but later the visit was postponed to November 26-28.
In the meantime, during his visit the Ukrainian head of state was supposed to meet with President Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov, and the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Chairman Saydullo Khairulloyev.
Ukrainian president’s visit to Tajikistan was expected to result in signing of a number of bilateral cooperation documents between Ukraine and Tajikistan.
