DUSHANBE, December 24, Asia-Plus  — Operation by officers from Tajik counter narcotics agency has led to the seizure of two kilograms of marihuana in Dushanbe.   

Avaz Yuldoshev, a spokesman for the Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA), told Asia-plus that a 43-year-old resident of the Tajik capital was detained Sunday on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing.  A package containing some two kilograms of marihuana was confiscated from him.   

The same day, his buddy, who proved  to be his neighbor, was also arrested, the spokesman said.   

Criminal proceedings have been instituted on drug-trafficking charges and an investigation is under way.  The names of detainees are not disclosed in the interest of investigation
