DUSHANBE, January 29, Asia-Plus  — In accordance with the preliminary agreement reached with Tajikistan’s Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide $6 million this year for purchasing road-building machinery, Deputy Transport and Communications Minister, Joumakhon Zuhurov, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on January 28.   

According to him, $4 million of this amount are provided in a form of long-term loan and $2 million are provided in a form of grant.   

This amount will go to purchasing 40 lift trucks, 16 graders and 20 other road-building machines, the deputy minister said.
